How will you make an impact in this role?

The Production Scheduler supports our manufacturing facility in Renton, WA and reports to the Services Manager. As a Production Scheduler, you’ll play a central role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly and on time. You’ll be the go-to person for confirming and communicating On-Time Manufacturing (OTM) dates, making sure our teams stay aligned, and our customers are satisfied.

This position is preferably based onsite in Renton, WA, where close collaboration with production teams is essential—especially in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. However, remote work may be considered for highly skilled candidates who bring deep expertise in production scheduling within the printing and/or packaging industry, and a proven ability to manage schedules, lead teams, and drive results from a distance

What you’ll do:

Scheduling & Coordination:

  • Confirm and communicate On-Time Manufacturing (OTM) dates to Coordinators—and update them promptly when changes occur.

  • You’ll rely heavily on PrintFlow to manage scheduling, track performance, and align production goals.

  • Sequence production schedules to meet customer commitments, maximize efficiency, and boost throughput.

  • Distribute daily 24-hour production schedules to machines, Supervisors, and Leads.

  • Collaborate with production supervisors to adjust schedules based on changing conditions while maintaining OTM targets.

  • Coordinate machine downtime with Supervisors, Maintenance, and Planning teams.

Issue Management & Escalation:

  • Escalate extended lead times for key accounts and value streams to management.

  • Recommend solutions to reduce lead times and improve responsiveness.

  • Provide contingency plans for production shortfalls or gains and communicate changes to relevant teams.

  • Respond quickly to customer expedite requests and update Coordinators on any OTM changes.

Performance Monitoring:

  • Track actual production speeds (make-ready and run) versus estimates in PrintFlow.

  • Aim to align estimated and actual performance as closely as possible.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work with production management to schedule overtime when needed to meet customer demands.

  • Lead daily production meetings to keep teams informed and aligned.

Quality & Continuous Improvement:

  • Take proactive steps to prevent quality issues and contribute to solutions.

  • Halt processing when quality problems are identified and verify resolution.

  • Continuously evaluate processes and identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and internal systems.

What you’ll bring:

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years’ experience with scheduling in a complex manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and capabilities.

  • Experience with scheduling systems—especially PrintFlow

  • Skills in Microsoft Office, with the ability to create documents, manage spreadsheets, and handle email communications.

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and adapt to changing priorities.

  • High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Requirements

Our teammates come from diverse backgrounds that help us innovate new possibilities daily. While the qualifications listed below are preferred, they are not required.

  • Experience in print, packaging or related manufacturing

  • Thorough knowledge of litho printing as well as die-cutting, laminating and gluing preferred.

  • Experience supporting multiple manufacturing sites.

Why do we think you’ll love it here?

  1. Our culture. We’re a team that is stronger together. We put safety first and believe that our people, customers, and investors are core to our success.

  2. Compensation. The base pay range for this position depends on several factors including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other forms of compensation, such as performance bonuses, may also be included in the total compensation package depending on the position.
